چکیده
Biodiesel-derived glycerol was biologically converted to 2,3-butanediol, an organic compound with multiple industrial applications. Recent studies showed that Raoultella terrigena CECT 4519 is effective biocatalyst for the bioprocess under conventional growing conditions. In present work, a novel composed by R. resting cells evaluated first time. Fluid dynamic conditions has been optimized maximize 2,3-butanediol production in terms of titre, yield, and selectivity. Regarding effect initial concentration batch runs, no substrate inhibition detected studied (concentrations between 45 250 g/L were used). Employing pure as carbon source, 82.0 titre achieved, whereas 76.5 reached using raw glycerol. These numbers involve achieved yield respect maximal theoretic 79% 77%, respectively. A successful kinetic modelling developed it able describe both evolution concentrations relevant components time rates calculated at experimental values. Estimated specific rate 0.034 g2,3-BDO/gX·h, while estimated empirical pseudo-stoichiometric coefficient glycerol/2,3-butanediol 2.52 gGly/g2,3-BDO. The obtained results promising biocatalyst, which provides new opportunities developing scaling-up biorefineries.

Sepsis caused by Raoultella terrigena
Raoultella terrigena (previously known as Klebsiella terrigena) is a rarely encountered gram-negative bacterium and mainly reported as aquatic and soil organism. However, in 2007 the first human infection caused by this organism was reported in a 45-year-old patient who developed endocarditis due to R. terrigena post liver transplant. No other case reports of infections caused by this organism ...
متن کاملMannitol production from glycerol by resting cells of Candida magnoliae.
Production of mannitol from glycerol by resting cells of Candida magnoliae under aerobic condition was investigated. The resting cells were suspended in aqueous solution of glycerol in Erlenmeyer flasks and incubated on rotary shaker. The samples were analyzed by ion exclusion-HPLC equipped with refractive index and UV detector. The resting cells of C. magnoliae produced mannitol from fructose,...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

15 صفحه اولThe first case of Raoultella terrigena infection in an infant.
Raoultella terrigena, formerly known as Klebsiella terrigena is Gram-negative, non-motile, facultative anaerobic, encapsulated bacilli and is a very rare cause of infections in humans. Until now, only two cases of actual clinical infection caused by R. terrigena were reported in adults. This report is the first case of neonatal infection with this microorganism, which was isolated from the urin...
